Education in the UK has changed dramatically over the past 20 years. With the input of decentralised education budgets and the large influx of Academy type schools following the private sector model.

School education is now run along the lines of business. It is incumbent on this sector to make better use of its resources. That might be land or a roof to put solar panels on, siting for a turbine, or food waste being managed on site to give the benefit of power and heat generation.

All with the aim of reducing energy costs.
