Re-powering Wind enables owners to retrofit existing turbines that underperform, are generally smaller or are frustratingly costly, with refurbished or new turbines. This could include obtaining consent for taller structures on the existing site, enabling the site to have a larger than the original turbine, therefore generating more energy and income.
This can be done in one of the following ways:
- Client pays for the replacement turbine and any additional planning required if a larger turbine is replacing a smaller turbine. There may be some residual value from the sale of the older turbine.
- A Joint Venture (JV) can be agreed between ourselves, a wind developer and you as the client.
- A wind developer takes the site and provide you with rental income from the site, together with either revenue or energy or, in some cases, both.
