Slurry Anaerobic Digestion is designed to draw slurry into a digester. The digester constantly mixes and heats the slurry to create the right biological enzyme environment to release methane to be used as a fuel, to power things like a CHP.
There are very few active plants currently in the UK, and with government looking to put further legislation forward for the management of slurry, this is definably worth consideration for people with large dairy units.
